1. Overview
BeforeAfter is a mobile app that allows users to create before/after visual
comparisons using photos selected from the device gallery or captured with the device camera.
The App does not require users to create an account and does not operate a user database.
Most processing is performed locally on the user’s device.
2. Information We Access or Process
Photos and Camera
The App may ask permission to access the device camera or photo library so that you can
select or capture images for creating before/after visuals.
Photos selected or captured by the user are processed locally on the device for the purpose
of generating the final before/after image. We do not upload your photos to our servers.
Generated Images
The App may generate an exported image file on your device. This file is used so you can
preview, save, or share the result through apps installed on your device.
Purchase Information
If you choose to purchase the Pro version, the transaction is processed by Google Play.
We do not collect or store your payment card details. Google Play may provide purchase
status information to the App so that Pro features can be unlocked.
Local App Data
The App may store limited data locally on your device, such as whether Pro access is enabled
or how many free exports have been used. This information is stored locally and is used only
to operate the App’s features.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information accessed or processed by the App to:
- Allow you to select or capture photos;
- Create before/after image exports;
- Enable sharing of generated images through the Android sharing system;
- Manage free usage limits and Pro access;
- Restore purchases when supported by Google Play.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data.
We do not share your photos with our own servers because the image processing is performed
locally on your device.
When you choose to share an exported image, the image is shared only with the app or service
you select through the Android sharing interface. That third-party app or service will handle
the shared image according to its own privacy policy.
Purchases are processed by Google Play. Google may process purchase and payment-related
information according to Google’s own privacy policies and payment terms.
5. Data Retention
The App does not store your photos on our servers.
Temporary files created during image export may be stored in the App’s temporary storage
on your device. These files may be deleted by the operating system or when you clear the
App’s storage.
Local settings such as Pro access status or free export usage may remain on your device
until you uninstall the App or clear the App’s data.
6. Data Deletion
Because the App does not maintain a user account or server-side database, there is no
server-side user profile to delete.
You can delete locally stored App data by uninstalling the App or clearing the App’s storage
from your device settings.
Generated images that you save or share are under your control. You can delete them from
your device or from any third-party service where you shared them.
7. Security
We use a local-first design to reduce privacy risks. Photos are processed on the device and
are not uploaded to our servers by the App.
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. You are
responsible for choosing where you save or share exported images.
8. Children’s Privacy
The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect
personal information from children.
